Status

Hahaha, believe it or not, I don't mind religious and/or gay rights debates sprouting on the blog! Anything goes, as long as there's an open discussion. The worst thing is silence. :(
However, it is adorable that the discussion ended with kittens ~

RE: ATLA, I could see that it isn't about good and evil. It actually struck me very early on that each character was complex and human. The best example (as far as I've seen) was Jet. He was both the "bad guy" and the "hero" of the episode. In fact, I think the choices he made were very similar to ones that guerilla soldiers have to deal with in real wars.

About status, I had taken a few days off to make jewellery at my mom's place, but I'm back on track working on ATLA. Like Fairy Tale, if it takes a long time, it's due to the large number of items O_o

  2. Oh man, you should see what they do with him in the second season. There's this one fight and resolution to the fight where you're just sitting there going "this is waaaay more complex a morality than I was expecting from a children's cartoon" even though by then you'd been watching the show long enough that you should have been prepared for it. The entire end-of-season arc they do is just amazing. (Although it didn't give me quite the *chills* that the first season finale did.)

  3. Oooh, I'm so excited about the ATLA game! I'm sure it'll be absolutely amazing, and if it really has as man items as you say... yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to spend hours enjoying it.

Also, I just noticed that "Male Hogwarts Maker" is now on the list of upcoming makers. This is going to be so AWESOME! Also, because I've been geeking out about it for a while now, I feel I just have to ask: any idea when the Star Trek maker'll be ready?

  5. Later in the series Zuko becomes more and more relatable. In all honesty, he's probably the most well developed character in the show.

  6. I love your point of view on AtLA! I agree with the comment above, Zuko is very well developed, and has gotten more and more complex as the series progresses. Oh, and I've been catching up on season three lately, so please not to many spoilers!

  11. I think as a SUPER DUPER HUGE project (if you ever have enough time) would be to make a Character maker, as in no theme or anything, just a person. I think a lot of people would like that to make OCs (cough) like me.

ps. i'm just on an idea roll with the timeline and now this! go me!

pps i still want the ballerina

  12. I second Anon's question about the Star Trek maker. A friend and I were actually speculating a while back about whether it would be a design your own human Starfleet Officer or if you get to pick from any alien races as well (obvious not the complex stuff like the Tellarites, but the humanoid species with similar build to humans, ie, Vulcans/Romulans, Andorians, maybe even Klingons?, would probably be possible). Also since I've been watching ENT lately it's making me wonder if there'll be a choice between uniforms from the different points in the 'verse. Cause that could also be fun.

  13. @anon: yes, there will be different alienraces, you can check that in Ola's blogs somewhere.
